Parking

The Pier has an onsite parking lot which is open from sunrise to sunset. Parking fees vary by season.

Hours of Operation

The Pier opens at sunrise and closes at sunset. Malibu Farm, the Pier's restaurant, and Ranch at the Pier, the Pier's retail store, are sometimes open past sunset and remain accessible past sunset even if the Pier is closed.

Fishing Hours

The Pier opens at sunrise and closes at sunset. You may fish on the Pier between sunrise and sunset.

Filming and Photography

Commercial filming and photography on the Pier requires a California State Parks permit and permission from the Pier. Please reach out to the Pier to learn more about the permitting process and how to obtain permission from the Pier.

Filming and photography for personal use on the Pier does not require a permit and is allowed.

The Pier and its businesses are accessible to persons with disabilities. If you require additional assistance, please reach out to us or our businesses.

Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages

You can consume your own food and non-alcoholic beverages on the Pier. Please properly dispose all trash and recycling.

Alcoholic Beverages

Alcoholic beverages may only be consumed within the restaurant, bar, and cafe. Consumption of alcoholic beverages outside of those areas is prohibited.

Cannabis

Consumption of cannabis products on the Pier is prohibited.

Smoking

Smoking of cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cigars, cannabis, or any other smoking product on the Pier is prohibited.

Lost and Found

Please contact us or speak to a Pier Guardian if you've lost something at the Pier.

Pier Guardians

The Pier's Guardians are onsite staff who act as ambassadors to the Pier and monitor its security. Guardians can help you find your way around the Pier and Malibu, provide you with accessibility assistance, and locate any items you may have lost at the Pier. If you notice a security or maintenance issue at the Pier, please inform a Guardian.
