With cinematic ocean views and the timeless charm of rough-hewn planks, the Boardwalk sets the stage for one-of-a-kind events. Host ticketed gatherings, long seated dinners, or oceanfront weddings for up to 350 seated guests or 600 standing.

Boasting the best views in Malibu, the three Upper Decks are intimate, open-air terraces perfect for small ceremonies, sunset cocktail soirees, and unique social gatherings. They can be privatized and paired with the adjoining Surfrider Gallery.
The Surfrider Gallery is a warm, wood-paneled hidden retreat. With gallery-worthy charm, it offers a refined, weather-proof setting for intimate gatherings. The Surfrider Gallery can be packaged with the adjoining Upper Decks and privatized.
Faqs
We offer half day rates for up to 6 hours and full day rates from 6 AM to midnight, including load-in and load-out. More hours can be added.
Our event fee covers one event venue manager and one uniformed Pier Guardian for the duration of your rental. Additional cleaning and security staff can be added.
We welcome outside catering with licensed vendors. You can view our preferred vendor list by clicking here.
The Pier can host up to 350 seated, and 600 standing on the main deck, as well as 35 seated and 70 standing on each of our three upper decks as well as the enclosed Surfrider Gallery. Please note that final capacities may vary based on your event layout and design.
Yes. We have 5 ADA parking spots, and the Pier is ADA accessible.
Yes. We have a large public lot with direct access to the Pier on a first-come basis. We provide the option to reserve parking spots for your guests at varying rates. We recommend to reserve spots at least 14 days prior to the event.
We have 2 single-occupancy restrooms, and 2 portable restrooms in the parking lot. Additional restroom trailers can be rented.
All music and loud noises must cease by 10 PM. The event load-out must conclude by midnight.
While the Malibu Pier is a California State Park and remains open to the public during the day, designated event areas can be sectioned off, with our dedicated Pier Guardians on hand to respectfully maintain event boundaries.
